The Result of the Primary School Colouring Competition

小學生填色比賽 —「創意科學由你起四季色彩任你填」
早前，第四十八屆聯校科學展覽籌備委員會舉辦了一個小學生填色比賽，旨在向小學生推廣科學展覽，並配合本年度聯校科學展覽的主題「季節」，以創意為科學填上色彩。我們很榮幸能夠邀請黃哲穎小姐-永誠資訊科技集團高級經理和譚子聰先生-永誠資訊科技集團助理產品經理為評審，在一萬二千多份作品中選出初小組(小一至小三)及高小組(小四至小六) 兩組的冠、亞、季軍以及十七名優異獎。得獎名單如下：

Parent-child Science Fun Day
Eagering to know more about science? Wanting to spend a wonderful weekend immersing yourself into thrilling games with your family? The 48th J.S.S.E.P.C. proudly presents our newly introduced activity -- Parent-child Science Fun Day.
Be prepared to carry out some hands-on scientific experiments and be amazed by your hidden potentials! Spend a nice time with your family through discovering the joy of science.
The details of the Parent-child Science Fun Day are as follows:
Eligibility: P.3-P.6 Students & a parent for accompany
Date: 5th July, 2015 (Sunday)
Time: 10:00 - 17:00
Venue: 21 Hong Kin Road, Tui Min Hoi Area, Sai Kung, Hong Kong
Entry fee: $150 per family (a student and a parent, including lunch)
Deadline for Application: 3rd July, 2015 (Friday)

充滿好奇心的你想認識更多關於科學的奧秘？喜歡科學的你想和父母一起渡過一個有趣的週末？第四十八屆聯校科學展覽籌備委員會今年特意舉辦一個親子科學同樂日。活動包括許多有趣的科學遊戲及神奇的科學探究。參加者可以動手做科學實驗，讓家長和孩子一同分享科學的樂趣。
對象: 小學三年級至六年級生及一名家長陪同
日期: 5/7 (星期日)
時間: 10:00－17:00
地點：新界西貢對面海區康建路21號
費用:$150/家庭(一名小學生及一名家長, 包括午膳)

"Creative in Science, Colouring in Seasons" Primary School Colouring Competition

Junior Primary Division (P.1-P.3) Colouring Sheet

Senior Primary Division (P.4-P.6) Colouring Sheet

"Creative in Science, Colouring in Seasons" Primary School Colouring Competition targeted at primary students, this competition encourages them to express their passion for science through colouring and drawing. Participants are to colour and decorate the colour sheet to bring out the theme of this year: Seasons. The participants will be divided into two groups: Junior primary division (Primary 1 to Primary 3), and Senior primary division (Primary 4 to Primary 6). Each division will have one champion, a First runner up, a Second runner up, as well as seventeen recognition awards. "Most Active Participating School" will also be awarded to the most participating school.
The winning work could be exhibited in the Joint School Science Exhibition. Interested students can sign up through their schools or download and fill out the enrolment form and mail it to P.O. box. NO. 91975 Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office, Hong Kong on or before 13th June, 2015.

Will pages of a romantic story be created ultimately? Investigate with us in this mysterious romance, where you walk down the streets to witness scenes and complete challenging tasks.
By fusing the essence of of a city tracing and detective game, the 48th J.S.S.E.P.C. proudly presents La Tragedie, a thrilling activity. Scour the city for unapparent clues, reveal the concealed secrets and discover the ending of this mysterious love story.

Prepare your ardour and diligence for the science-based games! Creating long lasting friendships among you and your teammates while reinforcing and gaining knowledge through the games! Begin your journey in the exploration of science.

The details of the J.S.S.A. are as follows:
Eligibility: S.1 – S.3 Students Date: 6th and 7th/8th April, 2014 (Choose between 7th and 8th) Time: 10:00am – 4:00pm

Second Project Holders' Seminar

The second Project Holders' Seminar was successfully held on 31st January, 2015 at the Science Museum Lecture Theatre. We were honoured to invite Professor Anderson Shum and Dr. C.H. Liu from the Hong Kong University, Department of Mechanical Engineering, to give us inspiring speeches on "Research Skills 101" and "Introduction to Extreme Weather - from the Mechanical Engineering Aspect" respectively. Through the lectures by professors, the Project Holders would be equipped with better preparation and presentation skills for the upcoming Proposal Competition.

Project Holders Seminar

The first Project Holders Seminar was held successfully on 29th December 2014 in the University of Hong Kong. During the seminar, guidance on the preparation of proposals as well as regulations and marking criteria of the competition were introduced to the Project Holders from different participating schools. Moreover, we were honoured to have the representative of the 1st runner-up team of the 47th Joint School Science Exhibition Proposal Competition, Mr. Chan Ting Cheong, as our guest speaker to share some of his past experiences on proposal making.

The 48th Joint School Science Exhibition Proposal Competition is now open for application. All Form 4 and Form 5 students are eligible and welcomed. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to display their models in the annual Joint School Science Exhibition, in which science can be promoted and academic exchange can be encouraged, in late August.
